At Winchester Supply we have worked with clients across the following sectors since 1990. We have strong expertise in each of these areas which means we can provide real insight to our clients in how they can improve their procurement and supply chain functions. In fact, many in our team have hands on experience working in remote locations. This gives us a unique point of difference – we truly understand the challenges that remote operations face on a daily basis.

Why our product expertise is so wide

We have a strong understanding of the leading brands and product categories that are specific to these sectors. And our priority is to tap into this knowledge to help our clients with fast, tangible results in terms of cost savings and efficiency. Understanding the products specifications means we are well placed to provide alternative recommendations too.

Mining

Mining is a tough gig. Whether you’re faced with critical spares, remote site logistics, hard-to-find capital equipment or specialist workwear requirements, our account managers have seen it before. In fact, we are probably amongst the most knowledgeable group around when it comes to supplying remote mining operations.

We have partnered with our clients during exploration stages, project development and ongoing operations.

In brief

Mining has been at the core of what we do since our establishment in 1990. We work with clients across the African continent. Our global network ensures that we are the go-to group to supply all products required in a mining operations – from getting engines and pumps to Sierra Leone to providing PPE to Botswana, we know how to get it there.

Oil and gas

The offshore oil and gas industry has grown and evolved over the years and we’ve been working with our clients to ensure that their supply chain becomes a real competitive advantage in this market where costs are so critical. Because oil and gas is such a high risk, high value operating environment when equipment goes down, shut down can be costly.

We have an extensive supplier database at our fingertips to source even the most hard-to-locate of products and equipment.

In brief

Recently we helped our oil & gas client who faced a high risk shut down due to a specialised fabricated bearing. Using our South African based office, we found what they needed and had it on an overnight flight to our client in West Africa. This saved them 130,000 USD per day.

Agriculture

Agriculture provides food, medicines, employment and foreign exchange and we’ve been at the heart of it for many years.

In brief

We’ve supplied most items from planting stock to tractors, seed, fertilizer, irrigation equipment, pumps and spares, silos for grain and sacks for tea. We’ve even airfreighted a herd of pigs to a farm in East Africa..

Non government organistions (NGO)

We are a preferred supply partner to United Nations Missions and other non-government and not-for-profit organisations around the world.

There is no time to waste in times of crisis so our established supply networks and logistics expertise ensures we solve the unique supply challenges that come along.

Construction and civil

Whether you’re building roads, bridges, canals, dams, or buildings, we help you get the right products to get the job done properly.

Others

Be it construction projects, Ports, Health or Road Sectors, our product knowledge, buying power and global capability makes us the first place to turn for reliable supply.
